5 foods you shouldn’t eat in the heat

To get through the sticky stuffiness easier and with a clear head, you need to eat right.

Forecasters have already warned: July in many regions will be no colder than June. Rather, on the contrary, the temperature will exceed the norm by a degree or two. And there will be less rain than usual. So, again the head is in a fog, sticky stuffiness and a complete lack of strength. The main thing here is not to aggravate your situation with the wrong food. We have collected foods that should not be eaten in the heat.

Awọn ounjẹ ọlọrọ ọlọjẹ

Usually nutritionists are only “for” protein-rich foods. But not in the heat. It turns out that it is quite difficult for the body to assimilate protein; during its processing, the body emits quite a lot of heat. This process is called thermogenesis. And as a result, you get even hotter. Therefore, it is advised to obtain energy in hot weather from carbohydrates rich in liquid: these are vegetables and fruits. However, this does not mean that protein products should be completely abandoned. Just reduce the amount and eat meat or fish for dinner when it gets cooler.

Ice drinks and ice cream

Surprisingly, it’s true: it becomes easier only while we eat or drink something cold. And when the ice cream is over, the ice tea is finished, it becomes unbearable again. And even worse. The thing is that the body cannot simply assimilate a cold drink or product. It must first be warmed to body temperature. Therefore, we literally heat up from the inside – it will not make it easier to endure the heat. In addition, hot ice cream can cause headaches due to temperature contrast. Conclusion – it is better to drink liquid at room temperature.

Foods that dehydrate

That is, those for the processing of which the body must allocate a considerable amount of precious moisture. Which already evaporates in insane amounts in an attempt to cool the body. Citrus fruits, dairy products, including kefir, sweets, baked goods, refined and processed foods, are “drying” us. That is, ice cream, sweets, donuts, pies, and even bread, pasta and cereals are included in the black list. However, they are advised to dose them at normal times, but already for reasons of maintaining a normal weight.

Diuretic products

That is, diuretic products. These include, for example, mangoes, fennel, asparagus, celery, berries, bananas and some other foods. You should be more careful with them in the heat: if you are already eating, then replenish the amount of liquid, drink clean water. Dehydration makes us hotter and more likely to get heatstroke.

By the way, coffee in reasonable quantities will not dry you out. Coffee is a really weak diuretic, but you need to drink at least five cups of the drink for it to work this way. And one cup, drunk in the morning, will not harm. Even with milk.

Ounjẹ aladun

Red hot peppers contain capsaicin, a substance that makes us warm up for a while. Due to this property, red pepper helps to lose weight, improves blood circulation when applied externally. But in the heat you will get even hotter. On the other hand, though, spicy food can make you sweat more profusely, it will keep you cooler. But in this case, you will have to more actively replenish the level of moisture in the body. And also – to sit sweaty.
