Endometriosis – Our doctor’s opinion: understand everything in 2 min

Research into endometriosis, which remains a complex disease, is progressing. The most promising studies suggest the involvement of inflammatory processes in the peritoneum, a cavity containing among other things the genitals, which would partly explain the symptoms and in particular the pain.

Recently, one of my patients, whom I first met almost 20 years ago with an endometriosis problem, reported to me about her daughter who also suffers from endometriosis. I allow myself to share with you his very judicious words: “Mom, I think I can deal better than you with the symptoms of endometriosis because I went to get all the information I needed to understand this disease, that I can talk to someone who is going through the same situation as me and that I use breathing and relaxation exercises almost every day, my medication being used only as a crutch. “
