Omphalina crippled is included in a fairly large family of ordinary ones.

It is found in Europe, while gravitating more towards regions close to the Atlantic. In Our Country, this fungus is not widely distributed, most often found omphalina in the central regions, as well as in the North Caucasus.

Season – the second half of summer (July-August) – the beginning of September. Prefers peatlands, sandy soils, often grows among heather and rushes.

The fruiting body is a cap and a pronounced stem. The hat is small, averaging up to four centimeters in size. In young mushrooms, it is almost flat, then – in the form of a funnel, with one edge unevenly curved.

Color – whitish, the surface is clean, slightly matte. From afar, the color of the mushroom is very similar to the shell of an ordinary chicken egg.

The hymenophore is lamellar, the plates are very rare, forked.

The leg of the omphalina is often eccentric, has a pale cream, creamy, beige color. Length – up to 1,5-2 cm.

The surface is smooth, sometimes there are some peeling scales.

The flesh is white, the taste is fresh, with a slight bitterness.

Mushroom omafalina crippled is considered inedible, but the status is not defined.
